Installation Planning
A detailed layout is developed showing exact placement of devices, each with a unique ID. A Bill of Materials is prepared so every component needed for installation is ready.
System Launch & Training
Badges and kiosks are distributed, and staff begin using the system. Training takes less than 5 minutes per user, with advanced training for supervisors and IPAC managers.
Implementation Process
The project begins with a finalized client agreement that defines the installation scope, deliverables, and expectations. This ensures both the client and the implementation team are aligned from the start.
Installation Execution
Devices are mounted quickly — each room takes under 10 minutes — with no wiring or special tools required. They are fully functional immediately after installation

Site Assessment
A pre-installation walkthrough is conducted to document layouts, confirm device quantities, and evaluate conditions. This step guarantees precise planning and accurate resource allocation.
Post-Installation Inspection
The system is checked to confirm proper operation and documented in an installation report. Optionally, baseline hand hygiene data may be collected for comparison after launch.
Procurement & Preparation
All required equipment is sourced, configured, and tested in advance. This preparation ensures the installation process runs smoothly and without delays.
Transition to Client Success Team
Ongoing support shifts to the Client Success Team, with a dedicated manager assigned to each client. This ensures continuous guidance, troubleshooting, and long-term success.

How Care Badge works
Long-term care includes both congregate areas and resident care environments, where staff move frequently between shared spaces and individual rooms. The Care Badge is designed to intelligently support consistent hand hygiene in both settings — helping staff maintain a safe, clean environment throughout the day.
1. In Congregate Areas
In dining rooms, lounges, and other shared spaces, the Care Badge provides interval-based reminders to perform hand hygiene regularly. These gentle prompts help reinforce routine hygiene habits among staff, ensuring continuous protection in high-contact, communal areas.
2. Entering a Resident Environment (Moment 1)
When entering a resident’s room, if hand hygiene has not already been performed, the Care Badge intelligently reminds the wearer to perform hand hygiene before any resident or surface contact. This helps prevent the transfer of infection from outside to inside the resident environment.
3. Leaving a Resident Environment (Moment 4)
After leaving a resident’s room, if hand hygiene has not already been performed, the Care Badge reminds the wearer to perform hand hygiene. This helps prevent the transfer of infection from inside to outside the resident environment.
4. Entering Clean Supply Rooms
When entering a clean supply room, if hand hygiene has not already been performed, the Care Badge reminds the wearer to perform hand hygiene before touching any clean supplies. This helps prevent contamination of clean or sterile materials.
5. Leaving Dirty Utility Rooms
After handling used equipment or soiled materials, when leaving a dirty utility room, if hand hygiene has not already been performed, the Care Badge reminds the wearer to perform hand hygiene. This helps prevent the spread of infection from contaminated areas to clean spaces.
CARE BADGE
Care Badge is a specialized hand hygiene solution designed for the unique needs of long-term care. It uses interval-based prompting, in addition to prompts at entering and exiting resident care environments, to gently reinforce regular hand hygiene throughout the day and support consistent, lasting habits.
By promoting routine hygiene in a non-intrusive and supportive way, Care Badge enhances resident protection while respecting the pace and flow of daily care. The result: a safer environment with minimal disruption and maximum impact.
